Chris Barnett, Head Coach
Chris is our head coach at Kokoro fitness, first joining the team in April 2021 Just after Kokoro first opened it’s doors. Along side his full time job coaching, programming and working 1-1 with clients, Chris’ passion lies within nutrition and fuelling for good health and longevity. As a registered Nutritionist, Chris is experienced and knowledgeable to support you with your nutrition along side your training at Kokoro.
Ruby Mitchell, Fitness Coach
Ruby joined the team in February 2025 and is one of our expert coaches at Kokoro fitness. After graduating with a first class degree in sports therapy Ruby has decided to pursue her passion for fitness and continues to support members with any questions regarding injuries and rehabilitation. Ruby is super passionate about getting everyone involved in physical activity to move better, feel stronger and most importantly enjoy the process of growing physically and mentally.
Tom Rees, Fitness Coach
Tom joined the team in March 2025 and carries 11 previous years in the fitness industry. Tom first found a passion for fitness and strength training after battling his own injuries and working with a coach in his rehabilitation. 11 years on and Tom has gained a vast amount of knowledge for all things health, fitness and nutrition related. He’s highly personable and does his best to ensure that everyone has his full support through their sessions within the gym.
Paul Stott, Owner
Paul started Kokoro Fitness during lock down in 2021. While a lot of gyms shut in this time, Paul and the Kokoro team worked hard to continue to deliver a service to it’s members. As gym owner Paul provides a lot of work behind the scenes at Kokoro to ensure a smooth running of the business. You will often find him in our reception or servicing our equipment. He is also takes part in some of our sessions as Paul also likes to get involved with the community and provide support where possible.
